John Caplin has been in the people development business for the past 34 years. He has worked with leaders and teams in a variety of large corporations, government, small businesses and non-profit organizations. As an Executive and Leadership Coach, John challenges high-capacity people to reach their potential and is committed to helping them increase their effectiveness in a sustainable way.
John is a Senior Birkman Consultant and has worked with individuals and teams to help them not only learn more about themselves, but also learn how as a team to leverage their strengths and function well together. Having done hundreds of Birkman profiles and with his diverse leadership experiences, he is able to increase people’ self-awareness, self-management and their social perceptions. In association with Mentor Matrix Inc., John trains Birkman consultants and has also developed advanced re-certification materials to assist consultants in sharpening their skills and understanding.
As a leadership development architect, John has designed organizational structures and systems, which provide ongoing leadership development and care in organizations. John has also written coach training materials which enable people to facilitate their local learning communities, create a coaching culture and strengthen their team.
In his free time John can be found fixing/building things, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and gardening.
