The Birkman Method® was developed in the late 1940s while Roger W. Birkman, a former WWII pilot, was working with a group of scientists at the University of Texas surveying potentially useful psychological instruments for pilot selection for the US Air Force.
Roger Birkman conceptualized, developed, and refined the Birkman as part of his dissertation under the guidance, direction, and tutelage of the highly skilled professional psychologists, statisticians, and psychometricians at the University of Texas. His ideas were a blend of current vocational, psychological, and job performance methodology.
The Birkman Method® provides a powerful and proven business tool to measure internal needs, motivations, occupational preferences and strengths. Application of the Birkman enables higher levels of performance for individuals, teams and organizations and reduces stress behaviors. The Birkman is not merely a personality assessment tool. It is a powerful means to gain critical answers to how and why you lead, learn, think, decide and relate to others. As a result, you can maximize the performance of the most important organizational asset - people.
Integrated - Only Birkman combines behavioral, motivational and interest measurements in a single assessment. It features one system with one language to perform all levels of your human development work, replacing the need to use multiple tools.
Descriptive & Prescriptive - Birkman provides a deep level of both descriptive and prescriptive information.
